What a comparison page includes

Every comparison table on AUTOPARTSTUNER lists the same core fields for each option: product name, brand, a pick label, fitment notes for your specific vehicle, the selling merchant, and a View offer button that routes through our /go/ affiliate redirect. A price appears only when a merchant refresh supplied a dated value; otherwise the merchant listing remains the source for current price and availability.

Pick labels are editorial, not a lab ranking

Labels like Best overall, Value pick, OEM+, and Premium describe how we organized a given set of offers for a shopper trying to make a quick decision — they are editorial shorthand, not the output of an independent lab test with instrumented measurements. We base them on application coverage, documented product differences, intended use, and review patterns across the offers we found for that vehicle and category. Affiliate relationships do not move a product up or down the table; a merchant paying a higher commission does not earn a better pick label or a higher position.

How fitment is sourced and checked

Fitment data comes from manufacturer application charts, cross-referenced against generation and trim breakpoints for each vehicle — the same kind of year, make, and model boundaries you would check manually before ordering a part. Where a vehicle's production run includes a mid-cycle refresh or a hybrid-specific floorpan, we try to split that out into its own hub rather than lumping every year together under one generic page. That said, fitment charts are not infallible and options packages occasionally change specs mid-year, which is why every comparison page tells you to confirm fitment on the merchant listing before checkout.

Why some vehicles do not have a full comparison yet

We only publish a full comparison table when there are enough distinct, verified offers to make the page genuinely useful to a shopper — not just enough to fill space. A page with two thin, barely-different listings does not help anyone make a decision, and it is not the kind of content that search engines or readers should have to sift through. That depth gate is intentional: it keeps the site useful for shoppers and keeps our content quality high enough to meet advertising and search guidelines. As we verify more offers, more vehicles and categories move from a placeholder note into a full comparison.

Where the money comes from

AUTOPARTSTUNER earns a commission when you buy through a View offer link, at no extra cost to you — the price you pay is the same price you would pay by going directly to the merchant. This is how the site stays free to use and keeps expanding fitment coverage. It does not change what gets listed or how it gets labeled; we would rather send you to the right part on a merchant that pays us nothing than the wrong part on one that pays us more.
